Irritation: A rant in blog format
I'm annoyed. This society is annoying. Every time I turn on the tv I see these skinny little waifs talking about getting skinny and staying skinny, losing weight fast, dieting, restraining yourself so you can fit into that bikini(thank you yoplait light) and other loads of donkey crap. I'm sick of it. I would say that I am an average american girl. Not skinny, not fat, just average. However, when I open a magazine and see pictures of celebrities losing weight when they're underweight to begin with I want to chuck the magazine out of the window. Why is this ok? Why do people condone this and even agree with it. I overhear people talking about so-and-so getting big and so-and-so losing weight and I just wish people could find something else to talk about. Don't they know that like 90% of women obsess over their weight enough as it is? I am definitely not the exception to that.
So what is the solution? Is there one? Do I stop watching tv all together to avoid all the stick thin images being thrust in my face. What is the answer?

You're right. This is entirely ridiculous. It will take an effort on everyone's part to slowly change this effect, but I don't have any bright ideas about this one.
I think step one is getting rid of beauty pageants altogether (especially those sickening ones for children).
Step two would probably abolish fashion models somehow.
