I've lost control

My keyboard drawer broke of the hinges today and my keyboard went flying on the ground along with the mouse and mousepad. I just now looked down to type something in Italics and my CTRL button is missing. I've lost control. How did I lose control? I had it earlier today. Oh wait, there it is.
