Like, I don't eat meat, cuz I'm a Veterinarian.

So I'm trying to cut back on my meat intake lately and go for the more vegetarian approach to eating. It shouldn't be that hard because all the meat I eat is poultry, and lately that is not even appetizing anymore. The only problem is I have to eat enough healthy stuff so that I don't become anemic and crumple up into a ball of dust(because I'm sure that's what happens...eventually.) Anyway, that's my mission and I'm stickin to it. Vitamins anyone?

Try eating the most delicious hamburger of your life and having it fight all the way back up and out. That worked for me.

(Not really, I don't think I could ever give up delicious chicken or fish)

(I know some vegetarians technically consider fish a vegetable)

(Just make sure you get enough protein and whatever else good is in meat)

YYYYAAAAAYYYY for vegetarians.
A few comments on the other comments
1. yes, nuts are very good
2. People shouldn't eat tasty animals!
3. If you know a "vegetarian" that eats fish, tell them they are "pescatarian" or that they "just don't eat animals with legs" b/c if you eat fish, you are NOT a vegetarian.
4. The protein thing is a myth. As long as you have sufficient calories, it's damn near impossible to get too little protein. In fact, there's research saying that we have osteoporosis problems b/c too much protein makes your body remove calcium from your bones in order to excrete the excess protein. So, TOO much protein is bad.
Take a multi-vitamin everyday to make sure you get enough iron. Spinach and kidney beans are high in iron. I make quesidillas with spinach, and a lot of time for dinner, I make brown rice w/ garlic salt and kidney beans (and sometimes a little soy sauce). It's simple, but tasty and good for you.
Ok, I'll stop now.
Don't eat meat!
