hmm..doesn't quite have the same ring as "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" now, does it? Oh well, I'm not exactly skipping school or anything. What did I accomplish on this oh so beautiful day in March 2006? Well I recycled some paper and magazines this morning. Now, normally this task would make me feel like a better humanitarian, but today I went to this recycle place that I looked up on the internet. I might add that this place is just 4 minutes from my house and I am somewhat of a terrible human being for not knowing this earlier after my 16 years of living here and not recycling a plethora of recyclables. Digression aside, I go to this new place, and they have big metal bins set up for collecting office paper, cardboard, magazines, cans, etc. Here's the rub. The containers did not have lids. What the??? There were loose papers flying around everywhere!! Did they think that notebook paper would stay in an open container without a lid on it. Have they heard off wind??????? How am I supposed to feel good about recycling when half of the junk doesn't even stay in the bin. Grrr. People people people. Tsk tsk tsk.
History has repeated itself. Not that this is much of a surprise. Let me explain. I was looking through my blog archives and stumbled upon a post referring to the March 2005 Dr.s talent show. Well, here we are in the '06 and what do you know? The talent show is here once again. And once again I am bored out of my gore. Bored Bored Bored Bored Bored Bored. Nobody needs anything and I am bored. And a little bit hungry, and tired, and cranky. Hmph.
Ok, so I have to work a monster shift tomorrow, but I still have the "It's Friday!" mentality. Because it is. And I want to live in a fantasy world where I have all of my weekends free all of the time. So. There.
