Happy Halloween

'tis Halloween. I have absolutely no plans at all. Of the suck. That's ok, I'm going to do something. Maybe I'll take in a scary movie or something. Hmmmm.

At least it's nice and cool outside so I can enjoy the weather without glowing with perspiration. Yes. I glow.

Maybe I'll be her for Halloween. Scaaaaaryyyyyyyyyy.

Deep thought of the day

“I hope some animal never bores a hole in my head and lays its eggs in my brain, because later you might think you’re having a good idea but it’s just eggs hatching.”

A Task

I would like some fresh new songs to add to my collection so I am asking all of my cyber friends and family to send me song suggestions that you think I might like, knowing my personality. Specific songs, not albums. Yes I'm being picky.

Thanks!

You gotta keep 'em dilated

Ok that was funnier in my head. I went to my first eye appointment in 8 YEARS. Dang. I can't believe I put it off that long. I thought she was gonna tell me that my eyeballs were going to dry up and fall out of their sockets, but guess what? I'm fine. No glasses, nothing wrong. I told her to send me a reminder card to have my checkup next year or it may be another 8 years before I remember to get in and make an appointment.

Well Hellooooo Friday

You know, these past couple of weeks having been speeding by. I'd like to have time to enjoy this time of year. The fall season is my favorite. Not that you really get the leaves changing down here or the crisp autumn air but at least the temp does drop a few degrees. And there are Halloween decorations everywhere so at least it's festive.

I'm going out this weekend to find the perfect Halloween costume. I have a few ideas but nothing concrete yet. It's hard to know what you're going to be until you see what's out there. Not that I have any exciting events to attend but, dude, I'm dressing up, even if it's so I can sit on my front porch and hand out candy. I'm sick of being a grown up and not maximixing fun potential.

Don't hassle The Hoff

David Hasselhoff is taking his nickname, “The Hoff,” a little bit far, it seems.

"He insists on being called nothing but ‘The Hoff’ now, and he’s referring to himself as ‘The Hoff,’” reports Sasha Perl-Raver at Gossipsauce.com.

Perl-Raver says that Hasselhoff’s antics have started to wear thin on his fellow “America’s Got Talent” judges, and that some judges might not return next season if Hasselhoff doesn’t keep himself in check.

Yep

Quit that wacky tobbacky already. I'm sick of taking breaks with people only to inhale the second-hand lung smuggler. I'm running people. I am an athlete now(hold the chuckles, please) and I do not need anything interfering with my training, especially emphysema.

Oh cat of mine

Crazy Cat. This morning I found him gnoshing on a bag of kitty treats. If he keeps eating everything in sight pretty soon he won't be able to dart away from me like a maniac. Seriously, why are cats so dumb sometimes and so awesome other times?

5k

This was awesome. I'm so glad that I got to experience this and consequently become addicted to it. All of the runners are so supportive of each other. It's really quite refreshing to see the fast runners waiting at the finish line and clapping and cheering everyone on, up to the last 3 runners, who at this point were speed-walking.

I think my parents really enjoyed the experience as well. my dad got to experiment with his new fancy camera and my mom got to cheer on the 87 year old woman who she was just in awe of. Very good day indeed.

So now I am on to the next goal. I'm thinking I may go for a 10k now sometime in November or December since my big race(half-marathon) isn't until February. I think it would be a good idea, that's for sure.

Joel FREAKIN McHale

So I went with my friend Sarah and her sister Amanda to see Joel McHale do stand-up over in Tampa this weekend. Not only did we score front row seats, but Joel came over and incorporated me into a story about The Girls Next Door, since I admitted being a fan of the show. He proceeded to have a 5 minute conversation with me about scenarios involving Hugh Hefner and Kendall laughing herself to death and me moving into the mansion to take her place. He then came over and pretended to be Hugh Hefner, asking me to answer the playboy girlfriend duty(booty) call. HAHA. Anyway, it was freakin hysterical and I talked with Joel McHale, who knows my name! Sweet!!

BBM and other stuff

Brighton Beach Memoirs

I love this show. It has to be my favorite Neil Simon show that I have seen. It's just adorable. The lead character is a young Jewish boy going through puberty and he is hilarious. He's also played by one of the most talented young actors in Brevard, Joey Swift. It's very well written and witty. You should check it out if you get the opportunity.

Also, it's finally Friday and I'm looking forward to my 5k tomorrow morning followed by the ultimate girls night in Tampa tomorrow night as we are entertained by the very funny Joel McHale. I cannot wait.

Pictures to follow!

www.runnersworld.com

I keep printing these articles from runnersworld.com for my race training. It's going well and I'm trying to find a program that will fit into the time frame I have to prepare but all the programs are shorter, like 10 weeks to train. And I have about 4 months. Hmmm. Any suggestions anyone? I would just double up and do some weeks several times but I don't know if that's the way to do it. There's so much info out there that it can be overwhelming at times but as soon as I get a set training schedule I'll be good. For the past 5 weeks I have been training for my first 5k so as soon as that race is over I need a new plan.

Another Day Another Blog

Hey Hey Y'all. It's Thursday and that means I'm only 2 days away from seeing Joel McHale in Tampa from the front row courtesy of my best friend Sarah! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAY! He is so funny. If you've never watched "The Soup" I highly recommend it.

In other news I'm going to see the dress rehearsal for Brighton Beach Memoirs. I think that this play is probably the best Neil Simon play that I've seen. The others are just ok. Don't get me wrong though, there are still a bunch I've yet to see and my mind could be changed in the future. I did really like Proposals too so I think that would be a close second.

Next week I'm going to see Arsenic and Old Lace to support Miss Em. It should be a good show, despite the fact that they had to replace one of the leads 2 weeks out because she was an older woman who was having trouble with the lines and blocking. The following weekend I'm going to see The Music Man to support Miss Olivia, who is playing Marian the librarian.

Dude, I'm Busy. But call me anyway. :)

Wednesday

Another boring day at work. Serioously, I should not have enough time to be writing blogs and such. I remember the good ole Pet's Ahoy Days where 11 hour shifts went by in the blink of an eye. Ok so the pay was really crappy and there were other circumstances that led me to this higher paying brain cell killing job, but is there no happy medium? Either I'm bored to tears and making money or I'm running my ass off and living in the poor house. I just don't know what to think. I do know that there's NO WAY I'M DOING THIS JOB UNTIL I RETIRE. Ahh, who am I kidding. I doubt I'll last another year here.
